Winter service

If necessary the winter service starts at 3 a.m. It takes about 3 hours to spread salt and sand on the entire area. If plowing is required as well, it takes up to 8 hours.

There are 7 vehicles in operation at the same time, which are distributed over the following areas:

  • Taufkirchen town area (roads are being cleared from north to south)
  • former municipal area Moosen
  • former municipal area Hofkirchen
  • former municipal area Wambach
  • former municipal area Gebensbach
  • 2 vehicles are used to clear the public sidewalks in Taufkirchen and Moosen
  • if necessary, a loader (for parking spaces) and a multi-purpose vehicle (for settlements) are also used in the town of Taufkirchen.

According to the municipal ordinance on the cleaning of public roads and the securing of walkways in winter, property owners are obliged to clear and spread all public walkways adjacent to their property.
