The municipality

From its founding in the 7th and 8th centuries until the 19th century, it was primarily the aristocratic owners of Taufkirchen Castle who determined the development of the town. The bourgeoisie and industrialization changed these conditions. After the end of the Second World War, economic prosperity and expansion began.
