Carnival parade

The large carnival parade through the Vilsgemeinde with more than 50 carriages and pedestrian groups takes place every five years. The next parade will take place on 11th February 2024.
After the parade the party then continues in a tent in the town hall parking lot. Dance groups and a DJ ensure a good atmosphere here. Food and drink stands offer everything you need for your physical well-being.

Medieval Market
For the first time in 2013, a medieval market took place on the castle meadow on the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the Taufkirchen moated castle. The numerous visitors can experience a casual medieval hustle and bustle with knights' camps, market life, jugglers and music.

Herb and Beet Market Gebensbach - October
If you want to stock up on vegetables for the winter, the herb & beet market is just the right place. There are potatoes and herbs, but also rarities such as "Dodschn", parsnips or Jerusalem artichokes. Flower arrangements as well as lard baked and soup are also sold to suit the autumn season. All products are from regional companies.
